BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Bolanle Olaleye is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, College of Science Education at the Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Nigeria. She completed her PhD at the Edith Cowan University, Perth, Western Australia. Dr Bolanle has worked with the college over the last 25 years and recently, appointed as the Acting Director in the Centre of General Studies, Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship in the University the directorate that’s recently being split-ted and now Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Skill Development. She has been involved in all aspects of chemistry teaching and other teacher education programme including training of teachers, research and development of teacher education, internship and development of beginning teachers and professional development programme for experienced teachers. She is committed in training students, staff including women in the College/University and youths in the community through entrepreneurship and skill acquisition development projects for wealth creation and self-reliant. This commitment in capacity is aimed to further contribute to teacher education activities and development of education particularly, in the University and in Lagos State, Nigeria generally.

Dr Bolanle has received many prestigious awards and scholarships both at home and abroad. Furthermore, Dr. Bolanle has also served as the Head of Chemistry Department for two consecutive periods from 2005 – 2006 and 2013 – 2015, a Science Coordinator for Directorate Degree Program in affiliation to Ekiti state University (2015 – 2018). Bolanle has been matched with many Mentees (at Master and PhD academic level) at Edith Cowan University (ECU) through the university
