BIOGRAPHY

Victor TÁÍWÒ has a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Communication Studies (Film) from Lagos State University, (LASU); a Master’s degree in Communication Studies, (Broadcasting Sequences – Radio/Television), LASU, after a B.A (Hons.) in  Yoruba Language and Communication Arts and Diploma in Yoruba Language and Communication Arts, LASU respectively. He has been in academics for a decade plus, a lecturer at Southwestern University, Okun-Owa, Ijebu, Ogun State in the department of Mass Communication. Presently, he lectures at Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) in the Department of Theatre Arts, (Media Unit), where he teaches Communication, Media, Film, Writing for Specific Purpose – media,  Playwriting, Media and Information Literacy, Cultural and Research Courses. Also, he is a part-time lecturer currently in Lagos State University, (LASU), Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, where he lectures Master Classes.

His work experiences cut across being a Film Director, an actor, News Reporter/Producer of news gathering and production under Nenenson Studio, Alimosho, Lagos, an independent producer, in affiliation with ‘Yotomi Television’.  He was also a Reporter with the defunct newspaper – ‘The Comet Newspaper’, Ijora, Causeway, Lagos. In the Academic circle, Victor TÁÍWÒ has served and still serving as Chairman, Secretary, and member of various University/Faculty/College Committees. He was a member of Senate Committee and Acting Head of the Department who contributed immensely towards the accreditations exercise at Southwestern University.   

As an academic scholar, Victor TÁÍWÒ has publications to his credit.  These publications include 4 theses, International and National journal articles and chapters in books cutting across (Communication, Broadcasting Media, Film medium and Cultural Studies). He has video-film productions, radio/television drama/documentaries, and directed stage plays and news productions. He has also featured in a full-length feature film. He has presented papers at Conferences, Seminars and Workshops. He was an external examiner, to students in Media, Films and Stage practical exams. Victor TÁÍWÒ comes through as a morally upright, creative, who can work independently with less supervision. He exudes good behaviour, and excellent manners, and possesses a high sense of responsibility.
