Lagos State University of Education, Oto/Ijanikin Main Campus held a two-day library orientation exercise for its newly admitted students. The event aimed to acquaint 100-level full-time degree students and 200-level direct entry students with the university library's resources, services, and operations
The four colleges at the main campus were divided into groups, with Group A consisting of College of Information Technology Education (COITED) and College of Science Education (COSED) holding their orientation on Monday 12th January, 2026, while Group B which consist of College of Humanities Education (COHED) and College of Management Sciences Education (COMSED) held their orientation on Thursday 15th January, 2026 respectively.
Facilitators, including Mrs R.A. Shittu and Mr J. A Olowolagba enlightened students on library ethics, conduct, rules, and operating hours. The students toured the library, gained insight into its usage, and received library cards, with guidance on how to use them.
Other facilitators were Mr Adeyemi, Mr Adegun, and other library staff members.
Meanwhile, students of the other four colleges including College of Specialized and Professional Education (COSPED) and College of Language and Communication Arts Education (COLCAED) at Odo-Noforija Epe Campus of the university held their own library orientation programme on Thursday 15th January and Friday 16th January, 2026 respectively.
