The Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Skills Development (DESD), approved by the Senate and Council of the University in May 2023, and designed to be a world-class, life-long entrepreneurship learning and development center.

Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), as a new University established only in 2022, have deliberately positioned itself to apply unconventional solutions to address the numerous problems of lack of creative, innovative and entrepreneurial skills among our teeming youth, which has led to the huge state of unemployment and joblessness among young Nigerians. In addition, we are resolve to apply ourselves to proffering solutions to the business and economic challenges of our state and nation through entrepreneurship education development

To achieve the above, we are resolved to partner with the corporate organizations around us, as the ultimate consumers of our products (the graduates) in producing the types of graduates that will add value to their organizations and change the dynamics of administration of the nation. This unique vision we strategically set out to achieve through the DESD.
