Mr. Adeniyi Ganiyu Ajose

Mr Adeniyi Ganiyu Ajose has been appointed the pioneer bursar of Lagos State University of Education, Oto-Ijanikin. Mr Ajose was born on 30th September, 1963 to the family of Alhaji and Alhaja Rauf Akindele from Idoluwo Quarters in Lagos Island. They later relocated to Idoluwo Village in the riverine area of Ojo Local Government and finally settled at Iyagbe Town in Oriade Local Government Development Area of Amuwo Odofin Local Government.
Mr Ganiyu Ajose had his primary education at St.Micheal Anglican School, Ojo from 1970 to 1976, and his secondary school at Awori College, Ojo between 1979 and 1984. He proceeded to Baptist Academy for his A’ Level in 1987 and later to Lagos State University where he bagged his Bachelor Degree (Bsc. Economic Education) with second class Upper in 1999, and subsequently obtained his Masters Degree in Economics (Msc. Economics) in 2003. In his quest to achieve his dream, he registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria for his Professional Certificate in the year 1991, qualified as a Chartered Accountant and became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in 2001and a fellow of ICAN in the year 2013.
Mr Ajose is a member of professional bodies which includes, Fellow Member, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). Associate member, Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) in 2004. He is also a member of Association of University Administrators (AUA), UK in 2004. His employment history started at Toyibat Nursey & Primary School Gbagada, Lagos as Accounts/Finance Officer in 1984 after his Secondary School. He later proceeded to Lagos State University, Ojo in 1989 as a Senior Accounts Clerk and through diligent Service rose to the rank of Chief Accountant. While in LASU, he worked in several Units such as Budget and Management Information, Head Internally Generated Revenue unit, Head Reconciliation Unit, and Head Ledger and Final Account Section. Mr Ajose was offered appointment for the position of Bursar at Micheal Otedola College of Primary Education (MOCPED) from Jan.2012 to 2019.
As the Bursar and Chief Finance Officer of the college he served in various capacities including, member, College Management Committee, member, Appointment, Promotion and Disciplinary Committee, (Senior), member, Appointment, Promotion and Disciplinary Committee, (Junior), and Chairman College IGR Committee. Mr Ajose was also member, College Staff Welfare Committee, member, Finances and General Purpose Committee of Governing Council and member, Committee on Cooperatives Society of the College. While in Lagos State University, he served as Chairman, LASU Bursary Welfare Committee, member, LASU Bursary Management Committee, member, LASU Student’s Financial Aids Committee, member LASU Student ID Card Committee, member, Committee on Decentralization of Bursary Activities, (Faculty Accounting), member, Committee on Review of LASU Financial Manual 2007 – 2009, member, Sub Committee of Junior Staff Disciplinary Panel, member and LASU Sub-Committee of Ceremonies.
After his tenure as the Bursar in MOCPED, he became the Director of Venture in the year of 2020, and later Head of Final account section in Bursary Department, the position he held until his recent appointment as LASUED Bursar on 17th of February, 2020. Mr Ajose was also a Part – Time lecturer in Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (AOCOED), 2004 to 2006 and Lagos State University, 2005 to date. He has attended conferences both local and International such as Leadership and conflict management workshop at ATLANTA GEORGIA U.S.A, Association of Top University Management Conferences by AUA at UNITED KINGDOM,(UK), Annual Accountant Conference from 2002 to date, National Workshop on IFRS Adoption. Seminar and workshop on IPSAS Annual Accountants Conference at Abuja, Value Added Tax & Withholding Tax Administration in Nigeria (CIBN) and ICAN Western Zonal Conferences. His extra curriculum activities include Treasurer, LASU Muslim Community, Ojo 1993 to 1998, Treasurer, LASU-SSANU Co-Operative Thrift and Credit Society Ltd, 2002 to 2012, Chairman, Bursary Welfare Committee, LASU 2001 to 2012, Treasurer, Magbonyon Community Development Association Ibereko, Badagry, 2002 to 2007, the Otun Are Adini of Ibereko Central Mosque, Ibereko Lagos, and Patron, NUSAF Society of Nigeria, Epe, Lagos. Other clubs and associations he belongs to include, member, Epe Club Epe, Lagos State (2013 to Date), member, Ijebu-Ode Club, Ogun State, (2013 to Date), member, Highlanders Club International, Ijebu-Ode (2012 to Date) and member, ICAN Epe & District Society, Epe. (2020 to Date). Mr. Adeniyi Ganiyu Ajose is married to Alhaja Rashidat O. Ajose (Nee Tijani) and Alhaja Saudat Adesola. Ajose (Nee Seriki) and he is blessed with children.
