On Friday 12th December, 2025, the Management of Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) received a delegation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for a resource verification exercise on newly proposed programmes. The programmes include B.Sc. (Ed.) Marketing, B.Sc. Marketing, and Hospitality and Tourism Management under the College of Management Sciences Education, at the Oto/Ijanikin Main Campus.
In her remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Bidemi Bilkis Lafiaji-Okuneye, stated that LASUED’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and its mandate to produce world-class graduates informed Management’s decision to introduce the additional programmes, subject to due accreditation. She explained that the resource verification exercise is a critical step in ensuring that all requirements for quality delivery are met.
The Vice-Chancellor further reiterated that the University will continue to operate in strict compliance with the policies of the National Universities Commission as it strives to position itself among leading universities in the country while attracting more prospective students.
The NUC delegation, however, commended the Management for the level of infrastructural development, adequacy of staffing, and the conducive academic environment observed during the verification exercise.
