The Fine and Applied Arts Students Association, LASUED Chapter, successfully held its maiden edition of the Art Exhibition, themed “Resonance Beyond Time,” from October 29th–31st, 2025, at Auditorium One, Main Campus, Oto/Ijanikin.

Exploring the vibrant world of art through the creativity of undergraduates, the exhibition showcased a wide range of artistic talents and innovative works.

Declaring the exhibition open, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Moruf Daodu, who represented the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bidemi Bilkis Lafiaji-Okuneye, described the exhibition as a truly unique experience. “It is delightful to see such beautiful work emerging from the department. The quality of the projects on display is astonishing. I commend the entire Arts Department for their dedication to bringing these creative pieces to life,” he said.

Speaking further at the event, the Head of Department, Mr Dotun Oluwa, expressed pride in the students’ accomplishments. “This exhibition is the product of consistent efforts to showcase the beauty of art through our student artists. As artists, we may not make noise with words, but we make noise through visuals,” he remarked, adding that the artworks on display represent just the beginning, with greater achievements yet to come.

In his remarks, the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr Dawodu Rasheed, applauded the students’ commitment to excellence and encouraged them to utilize social media platforms to showcase their works and create broader public engagement.

The exhibition was well attended by lecturers, students of the department, and members of the press, who were all impressed by the creativity and talent on display.
