Department of Music Education Holds Pen-Down Concert in Honour of Retiring Staff
The Department of Music Education, College of Humanities Education, Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Oto/Ijanikin, on Wednesday 29th October, 2025, organized a pen-down music concert in honour of Mr. Oyesiku Oluwafunmilola, who clocked 65 years and retired from active service in the department. The event took place at the newly commissioned Music Recital Hall, beside the Directorate of Works and Physical Planning.
In his remarks, the Head of Department, Dr. S. O. Babalola, lauded Mr. Oyesiku’s dedication, passion, and exceptional service to the university and music profession. He also highlighted his immense contributions to the growth and development of the Department of Music Education.
Colleagues, friends, family members, and well-wishers described Mr. Oyesiku as a diligent, humble, and professional educator whose impact on students and staff remains indelible. The concert served as a fitting tribute to his remarkable career and lasting legacy at LASUED.
