QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITIONS
Senior Lecturer
To qualify for this position, a candidate must:
(i) Possess a PhD Degree in the relevant area.
(ii) Show evidence of continued research productivity (at least 3 publications) since the last promotion (35 points from at least 12 publications, out of which at least 1 must be an international publication;
(iii) A maximum of 3 Letters of Acceptance shall be allowed.
(iv) Papers published in journals of Colleges of Education or Polytechnics shall only be accepted up to 2022; however, only 20% of the total publications submitted by the candidates would be accepted.
(v) Provide evidence of service to the Universityand the Community and community.
Lecturer I
To qualify for this position, a candidate must:
(i) Show evidence(s) of satisfactory teaching/professional practice.
(ii) Present evidence(s) of continuous publication in Learned Journals to the required quantity and quality (15 points from at least 7 publications for those without Ph.D and 10 points from at least 5 publications for those with Ph.D).
(iii) At least Two (2) publications from the date of the last promotion.
(iv) Papers published in journals of Colleges of Education or Polytechnics shall only be accepted up to 2022; however, only 20% of the total publications submitted by the candidates would be accepted.
Lecturer II
To qualify for the position of Lecturer II, a candidate must:
(i) Have a Masters/PhD Degree in a relevant area.
(ii) Present evidence(s) of continuous publications in learned journals to the required quantity and quality.
(iii) The candidate shall be expected to have at least eight (8) points from three (3) publications (for those without PhD).
(iv) Papers published in journals of Colleges of Education or Polytechnics shall only be accepted up to 2022; however, only 20% of the total publications submitted by the candidates would be accepted.
Assistant Lecturer
To qualify for the position of Assistant Lecturer, a candidate must:
i. The candidate shall be required to have scored a minimum of Ph.D Grade in a relevant Master Degree Programme.
ii. Present evidence(s) of continuous publications in learned journals to the required quantity and quality
Graduate Assistant
A candidate applying for the position of Graduate Assistant must:
i. possess a relevant First Degree Honours with at least Second-Class (Upper) Division.
ii. He/She must, in addition, have registered for a relevant Master Degree Programme in a university recognised by the Senate of the University.
iii. He/she shall have a maximum of three (3) years, upon appointment, to complete his/her programme during which he shall undergo mentorship in the Department, failing which his/her appointment may be determined.
SENIOR STAFF POSITIONS
Principal Assistant Registrar (CONUNASS 13)
Requirements
a. Master’s Degree in relevant field is an advantage
b. Must have knowledge of IT;

OR

Workshop Supervisor (CONUNASS 06)
Requirements
a. The candidate must possess 5 O’ level credits in (SSCE/NECO/GCE) with Trade Test I
b. Must possess at least 5 years experience after obtaining Test III
OR
c. National Craft Technical Certificate plus eight (8) years experience.
Senior Supervisor (CONUNASS 07)

Requirements
a. By advancement of a suitable Assistant Agricultural Superintendent in training or an Agricultural Field Overseer who has successfully completed the training course for Assistant Agricultural Superintendent or obtained a recognized school of Agriculture.
