QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITIONS
Senior Lecturer
To qualify for the position, a candidate must:
(i) Possess a PhD Degree in the relevant field;
(ii) Show evidence of continued research productivity (at least 3 publications) since the last promotion (35 points from at least 12 publications, out of which at least 1 must be an international publication);
(iii) A maximum of 3 Letters of Acceptance shall be allowed.
(iv) Provide evidence of service to the University and the Community.
Assistant Lecturer
To qualify for the position of Assistant Lecturer, a candidate must:
i. The candidate shall be required to have scored a minimum of Ph.D. Grade in a relevant Master Degree Programme;
ii. Present evidence(s) of continuous publications in learned journals to the required quantity and quality.
Graduate Assistant
A candidate applying for the position of Graduate Assistant must:
i. possess a relevant First Degree Honours with at least Second-Class Division.
ii. He/She must, in addition, have registered for a relevant Master Degree Programme in a University recognised by the Senate of the University.
iii. He/she shall have a maximum of three (3) years, upon appointment, to complete his/her programme during which he shall undergo mentorship in the Department, failing which his/her appointment may be determined.

Qualifications and experience Required for the positions
Senior Librarian (CONUASS 03)
A candidate applying for the position of Senior Librarian must, in addition to having spent a minimum of three (3) years in the current post, must also;
i. Show evidence(s) of satisfactory teaching/professional practice;
ii. At least two (2) publications from the date of last promotion;
Librarian II (CONUASS 02)
A candidate applying for the position of Librarian II, must:
i. Have spent a minimum of three (3) years as Assistant Librarian;
ii. Have a Masters/PhD Degree in a relevant area;
iii. Present evidence(s) of continuous publication in Learned Journals to the required quantity and quality;
iv. Have at least eight (8) points from three (3) publications (for those without PhD);
NON-TEACHING SENIOR STAFF POSITIONS
I. HEALTH SERVICES
a. Deputy Director of Nursing (CONUNASS 14)
Candidates must possess a good Masters Degree in Nursing/Health Education plus NRN/SRN and NRM/SRM Certificates and must have spent at least three (3) years on the position of Chief Matron.
b. Deputy Director (Health Services) (CONUNASS 14)
Candidates must possess MBBS with a minimum of twelve (12) years post-qualification experience plus Certificate professional courses and current registration MDCN and must have spent at least three (3) years on the Principal Medical Officer II (CONUNASS 13).
II. UNIVERSITY LIBRARY
a. Library Officer (CONUNASS 06)
Requirements
The Candidate must possess five (5) O’level credits in SSCE/NECO/GCE including English Language and Mathematics plus a recognized Diploma in Library Studies/Library Science.
b. Higher Library Officer (CONUNASS 07)
Requirements
The candidate should possess five O’/Level Credits in SSC/NECO/GCE including English Language and Mathematics plus Diploma in Library Studies/Library Science with six (6) years’ experience.
c. Senior Library Officer (CONUNASS 08)
Requirements
The candidate should possess five O’/Level Credits in SSC/NECO/GCE including English Language and Mathematics plus a Higher Diploma in Library Studies/Library Science with six (6) years’ post qualification experience.
d. Principal Library Officer II (CONUNASS 09)
Requirements
The candidate should possess five O’/Level Credits in SSC/NECO/GCE including English Language and Mathematics plus a Higher Diploma in Library Studies/Library Science with eight (8) years’ post qualification experience.
e. Principal Library Officer I (CONUNASS 11)
Requirements
The candidate should possess five O’/Level Credits in SSC/NECO/GCE including English Language and Mathematics plus a Higher Diploma in Library Studies/Library Science with nine (9) years’ post qualification experience.
f. Assistant Chief Library Officer (CONUNASS 12)
Requirements
The candidate should possess five O’/Level Credits in SSC/NECO/GCE including English Language and Mathematics plus a Higher Diploma in Library Studies/Library Science with twelve (12) years’ post qualification experience.
Chief Library Officer (CONUNASS 13)
Requirements
The candidate should possess five O’/Level Credits in SSC/NECO/GCE including English Language and Mathematics plus a Higher Diploma in Library Studies/Library Science with fifteen (15) years’ post qualification experience.
III. REGISTRY
Principal Assistant Registrar (CONUNASS 13)
Requirements
a. Master’s Degree in relevant field is an advantage
b. Must have knowledge of IT;
c. Membership of professional bodies such as ANUPA, CIPM, NIM etc; and
d. The candidate must possess a good honours degree from a recognized institution plus twelve (12) years post-qualification and relevant administrative experience.
Senior Assistant Registrar (CONUNASS 11)
Requirements
a. The candidate must possess 5 O’ level credits (SSC/NECO/GCE) including English Language and a good honours degree from a recognized institution
b. Master’s Degree in relevant field is an advantage
c. Must have knowledge of IT;
d. Membership of professional bodies such as ANUPA, CIPM, NIM etc; and
e. The candidate must possess a good honours degree from a recognized institution plus nine (9) years post-qualification and relevant administrative experience.
Assistant Registrar (CONUNASS 09)
Requirements
a. The candidate must possess 5 O’ level credits (SSC/NECO/GCE) including English Language and a good honours degree from a recognized institution
b. Master’s Degree in relevant field is an advantage
c. Must have a minimal knowledge of IT;
d. Membership of professional bodies such as ANUPA, CIPM, NIM etc; and
e. The candidate must possess a good honours degree from a recognized institution plus six (6) years post-qualification and relevant administrative experience.
Administrative Officer I (CONUNASS 08)
Requirements
a. Master’s Degree in relevant field is an advantage
b. The candidate must possess a good honours degree from a recognized tertiary or similar institution plus three (3) years post-qualification and relevant administrative experience.
c. Must have a minimal knowledge of IT;
d. Membership of professional bodies such as ANUPA, CIPM, NIM etc.
Higher Executive Officer (CONUNASS 07)
Requirements
a. The candidate must possess HND/First Degree in relevant field from a recognized tertiary or similar institution.
b. Must possess three (3) years post qualification and administrative experience
Assistant Chief Clerical Officer (CONUNASS 05)
Requirements
a. The candidate must possess OND/NCE Certificate with 5 Credits in WASC/GCE/SSCE including English language and Mathematics with evidence of computer literacy.
b. By promotion of a Senior Clerical Officer after 3 years of satisfactory service.
Deputy Director ICT (Technical) (CONUNASS 14)
Requirements
a. The candidate must possess 5 O’ level credits (SSC/NECO/GCE) including English Language and Mathematics;
b. The candidate should possess a good honours degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or other related fields;
c. Master’s Degree in relevant field with Twenty-Two (22) years post qualification experience;
d. Must have Fifteen (15) years relevant experience.
e. Must be a Member of a Registered Professional Body
Principal System Analyst (CONUNASS 11)
Requirements
a. The candidate should possess a good honours degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or other related fields;
b. Must have nine (9) years post qualification experience.
System Analyst I (CONUNASS 08)
Requirements
a. The candidate should possess a good honours degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or other related fields from a recognized institution
b. Must have three (3) years relevant post qualification experience.
Principal Confidential Secretary II (CONUNASS 9)
Requirements
a. The candidate must possess 5 O’/Level Credit in SSC/NECO/GCE including English Language, plus HND in Secretarial Studies, Office Management;
b. Must have nine (9) years post-qualification experience.
IV. HOSPITALITY UNIT
Higher Hospitality Officer (CONUNASS 08)
Requirements
a. The candidate must possess 5 “O” level Credit Pass (SSC/NECO) including English Language and Mathematics;
b. Plus Degree/ HND in Home Economic and Hotel & Catering Management or related discipline with three (3) years post-qualification.
Hospitality Officer I (CONUNASS 07)
Requirements
a. The candidate must possess 5 “O” level Credit Pass (SSC/NECO) including English Language and Mathematics;
b. Plus Degree/ HND in Home Economic and Hotel & Catering Management.
TECHNICAL CADRE
Assistant Technical officer (Grounds) (CONUNASS 05)
Requirements
a. The candidate must possess 5 “O” level Credits (SSC/NECO) including English Language and Mathematics;
b. The candidate must possess ND in related fields from accredited Polytechnic or equivalent professional qualification plus one (1) year post qualification experience.
V. BURSARY
Senior Accountant (CONUNASS 09)
Requirements
a. The candidate must possess 5 O’ level credits (SSC/NECO/GCE) including English Language and Mathematics plus Degree in accounting
b. Must have at least six (6) years post qualification experience.
Executive Officer (Account) (CONUNASS 06)
Requirements
The candidate must possess 5 O’ level credits in (SSCE/NECO/GCE including English Language and Mathematics with ND in Accounts, Financial Studies.
VI. AUDIT
Chief Internal Auditor (CONUNASS 13)
Requirements
a. The candidate must possess 5 O’ level credits (SSC/NECO/GCE) including English Language and Mathematics plus a Degree with minimum of second class lower in Accountancy or any relevant discipline;
b. Masters Degree in relevant discipline with professional qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, ANAN etc.
c. Must have at least twelve (12) years relevant post qualification experience.
Principal Internal Auditor (CONUNASS 11)
Requirements
a. The candidate must possess 5 O’ level credits in (SSC/NECO/GCE) including English Language and Mathematics plus degree/HND in Accountancy or any other relevant discipline with professional qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, ANAN, ICAN etc.;
b. Must have at least nine (9) years relevant post qualification experience
c. Masters Degree as added advantage
