ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR ONIBON NOSIRU OLAJIDE

ONIBON, Nosiru Olajide was born on the 13th October, 1967 at Epe, Lagos State. He holds the Diploma in Arabic and Islamic Studies, B.A (Hons). in Arabic Language & Literature; M.A (Arabic Study), PGDE, LASU; M.Sc. (Political Science), University of Ibadan and Ph.D in Arabic Linguistic Studies from the International Islamic University, Malaysia.

He started working as a Marketing officer with the BOS Nigeria Limited in Ibadan, an Industrial and Water Treatment Chemical Marketing Outfit where he rose to become Manager/PRO. He joined the Administrative cadre of the Michael Otedola College of Primary Education (MOCPED) in 1998 and left for the Lagos State University in May 3rd 1999 as a Graduate Assistant and later rose to the rank of an Ass. Professor of Arabic Language in the Department of Foreign Languages. He became the Ag. Provost of the Michael Otedola College of Primary Education (MOCPED), Noforija, in December 21st, 2017 and substantive Provost in January 8th, 2019.

 

Ass. Prof. Onibon, Nosiru has been a member of various Committees of the Department, Faculty and Senate of LASU and member of a number of Academic Societies, Social and Religious Organizations nationally and internationally. He had attended different National and International Conferences, Seminars, Workshops and Trainings with numerous Academic Publications. He is a Fellow of the American National African Language Resource Centre, Chattered Institute of Management (FCIM), Society of Educational Administrators of Nigeria (FSEAN) and a member of the Governing Council, Fountain University and the Africa Centre of Excellence for Innovative and Transformative STEM Education (LASU-ACEITSE), Lagos State University, Ojo. Onibon, Nosiru Olajide is happily married with children.
